In 2018, I financed a kindergarten and primary school building that houses up to 500 Ghanaian children.

It is equipped with a kitchen and a toilet facility, ensuring that basic supplies are available. And better access to education as a result.

The school is located in Attakrom, an agricultural village in the Bono region (formerly Brong Ahafo), about 200 km north of the city of Kumasi.

These kinds of rural areas can greatly benefit from investments in education as they open up new perspectives for their youth.

Over the course of time, dozens of students have successfully graduated from the primary school. But support was also urgently needed for the subsequent stage, the three-year Junior High School.

In fact, teaching took place in a makeshift shelter that offered little protection from outside influences.

This is about to change in 2023: I have supported the construction of a new school block with three classrooms which successfully welcomed its first students in October 2023.

Meanwhile, the primary school also received a new building to further enhance its capacities.

I would like to thank all donors as well as the aid organization Madamfo Ghana, under whose leadership the two construction projects could be turned into reality.

Here are their project descriptions:
